Japanese linen/wool - all styles Deep Dusty Pink
Several styles can be ordered in this new Japanese linen/wool fabric. Choose style and size in the drop down selection.
A durable, soft and crumply linen and wool blend fabric. The fabric is a small scale production made by craftsmen in Japan whom wish to challenge the industry and maintain traditioal craftsmanship. It consits of 90% linen and 10% wool. It is thicker, heavier and more solid. Although it is thicker and and more compact it is still soft and has a beautiful textured washed handfeel and look. The linen itself is from Belgium and the wool from Australia.
The supplier explains:
The process of dying the fabric is a natural dying process made by craftsmen challenging industrial taboos. The dye itself is conventional dye, but “Natural dyed” dyeing method is done by directly dyeing raw cloth (kibata) without pre-treating it with chemicals, etc. A process in which the fabric is slowly dyed over time to cause as little damage to the natural fibers as possible. "Natural dye” method makes it easier to bring out the texture and feel of the material without killing its original appearance. Each roll of fabric is carefully finished with time and effort, while trying to preserve the character of the fabric.
90% Belgian linen and 10% Australian wool. The fabric is crafted in Japan.
Since this has wool some peeling might appear, but can easily be removed.
Each style is made in Mini Moe’s studio in Oslo, Norway.
Hand wash/wool program on up to 30 degrees, but we recommend a lower temperature to save environment.
Air dry in shadow.

Be aware that the colour can fade when exposed to direct sunlight and will naturally fade over time. This is a result of linen being a natural product.
